Joanne is a Senior Ecologist with experience working for both multidisciplinary environmental consultancies and engineering companies. As a qualified project manager, Joanne has led large-scale projects, including Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), for clients within the renewables, residential and infrastructure sectors.
Aside from project management, Joanne is an experienced field surveyor with specialisms in surveying and assessing impacts on protected species, particularly terrestrial mammals and amphibians. She holds Scottish Natural Heritage licences for great crested newts and badgers and is experienced in protected species licensing, and designing and implementing mitigation for bats, badgers and great crested newts. Joanne’s work includes the production and reviewing of technical reports, protected species licence applications and EcIAs.
Joanne graduated from the University of Stirling with a BSc (Hons) in Biology and achieved a MSc in Conservation Biology (with Distinction) from Manchester Metropolitan University. Outside of work, Joanne volunteers with the Clyde Amphibian and Reptile Group (CARG).
