Our Biodiversity Positive, Carbon Conscious Business Model

Our biodiversity positive, carbon conscious business model is fundamental to the way we operate. We want to help demonstrate how successful this type of business model is and encourage other SMEs to adopt a similar approach.

We are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint and we planted almost 30,000 trees at the woodland site in Lochgair, Argyll in 2019. This woodland will sequester almost 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ over the next 100 years and MacArthur Green is managing it carefully to enhance biodiversity.

In 2024, ownership of the woodland was transferred to Lochgair Estates, and MacArthur Green continues to be the lead sponsor of the woodland and biodiversity management of the site. This sponsorship involves funding all woodland and biodiversity management activities.
